Bags, Bags, Bags!
Have you seen our JaJaJa Bags? Made from recycled, new, old and vintage fabrics, these bags are unique & one of a kind. Each bag has a tag that lists the fabric and the era. 1970’s upholstery fabric, 1960’s & 1940’s – 50’s drapery fabric are just a few. Come take a look, I’m sure there is one for you.

Favorite Yarn
I have a new favorite yarn that just arrived, called “Portland Tweed” from Classic Elite.
50% virgin wool
25% alpaca
25% viscose (rayon)
50g – 120yds
4-5 sts per inch
Needle size - US 7

The yarn is soft; the colors are northwest casual and best of all, its tweed. This yarn represents everything that is comfortable. Lazy Saturday afternoons, you’re favorite old sweater or the afghan that is always near by when you are knitting, and Harrison Ford, right there, beside you reading the paper. He looks at you, in the middle of your yarn over, and smiles…
This is a yarn fantasy and if you take a bag of this delicious yarn home, you can conjure up your own fantasy but Harrison is mine!

In Memory of a Friend
Frank Strong
March 25, 1981 – February 11, 2008

Many of you will remember Frank while shopping at the Yarn Garden. He was kind, fun and always had time to talk to customers and help find the perfect yarn. Frank left Yarn Garden to pursue his education, but he would stop by to say ‘hi’ occasionally. We remember how much he loved yellow….every yellow. Yarn Garden co-workers got together in celebration of Frank and knitted a yellow elephant that will be displayed in the shop. So let’s raise our needles to a friend and a knitter. We’ll miss you, Frank.
